My name is Adam and I've been teaching Computer Science to kids for nearly a decade. I've taught at non-profits in my local community, in front of classrooms, and one-on-one. I've taught hundreds of students of all ages!

I went to Tufts University where I majored in Computer Science and Biology and minored in English. I was the president of the Engineering Honors Society, a member of the volleyball team, and a Project Leader and Technical Leader for a club on campus that created code for non-profits. I graduated with a 3.94 and am currently a Software Engineer. In my free time, I like to read and play violin, guitar, and piano!
Hi!
Problem Solving
Creativity
I create multi-leveled problems that allow students to go at their own pace, and ask questions that point kids in the right direction. Learning the answer is fine, but discovering the answer is satisfying, memorable, and fun!
Coding is all about creating your own solutions -- it's really a different way of thinking. I allow students to create their own answers and solve their own problems.
Collaboration
Fun
With in-person classes, I allow students to work and strive together. The world is collaborative -- students shouldn't just stare at their computers in silence!
I want my students to love what they do. Coding can be creative, challenging, and rewarding, but most of all, it can just be fun!
My Classes
Python I: Turtle Graphics
In this class, students learn the basics of python -- control flow, if statements, variables, functions, lists -- through Turtle Graphics, culminating with a final project of student choice. This class is perfect for 6-8 graders with no experience!
Python II: Algorithms
Here, students learn the fundamentals of solving algorithms. We focus on interesting problems like determining prime numbers and calculating the fibonaccci sequence. Great for high schoolers and students with previous coding experience.
